About this speaker

Franco Pestilli, Ph.D., is an assistant professor in the Department of Psychology and Brain Sciences at Indiana University. He also serves as an adjunct assistant professor at the IU School of Optometry.

His research topics include white matter, microstructure, anatomy, and brain tracts; tractography; computational modeling of human behavior and brain activity; psychophysics of visual perception and reading; and behavioral and brain mechanisms of motivation and attention.
