The equation adds up to an early success.

Opt for a shorter path to your optometry dreams with IU School of Optometry's 3+4 Early Admission Program.

Trim a whole year of tuition fees by fast-tracking through undergrad in three years and optometry school in four. In only seven years you will earn a bachelor's degree in optometry and a Doctor of Optometry degree.

Early admission into the Doctor of Optometry program without a bachelor's degree requires meeting the following qualifications:

  • A cumulative GPA of 3.6 or higher.
  • At least 90 college credit hours from IUSO's list of prerequisites, plus an additional 18 hours of college credit required for early admission that can be found on our Early Admission Program website.
  • Of the 90 credit hours required, at least 12 credit hours must be at the 300–400 level.

Learn how to apply and start saving towards your journey in becoming an eye-opening professional. Don't blink!
