Volunteering around the world, establishing clinics and services in Africa and Jamaica, the IUSO community is dedicated to providing vision care to the underserved while strengthening the clinical skills of our students.
Join the IU School of Optometry in an online Zoom conversation with Director of Residencies, Dr. Don Lyon, and Chief of Pediatric and Binocular Vision Service, Dr. Katie Connolly, along with 3rd year optometry student Natalie Kurth. We will learn of the motivation that drives these faculty to establish programs and provide much needed eye care in other parts of the world. Also, we’ll learn how the joys of service and lessons learned outside the classroom have bolstered Natalie’s IUSO student experience.
