Student Organizations

Find a student organization

As a graduate student at IU, you’ll have more than 750 student organizations available to you on campus. More than a dozen of those were designed for (and by) tight-knit groups of students at the IU School of Optometry.

Optometry students have started clubs around everything from biking and running to religion and fellowship. They do it for fun, and for the common good: riding bikes to support cancer research, running marathons to support local charities, and taking mission trips to provide eye care in places like Guatemala, Honduras, and Haiti.

A large group of optometry students pose for a photo wearing formal attire.

Tailgates, bonfires, and eye balls

The IU Optometry Student Association hosts more than a dozen events each year, the biggest and fanciest of which is the Eye Ball. At about mid-semester, this formal evening of dinner, dancing, and entertainment is a well-deserved night out for hardworking optometry students.
