SUBCRIBE TO OUR CHANNEL! www.cryptovice.com In summer of 2013, Lealana announced their “Lealana Physical Litecoins” as a friendly competitor to Casascius. Initially, they focused on Litecoin, which was created in 2011 by Charlie Lee. Litecoin is considered the silver to Bitcoin’s gold. But a few months later, Lealana expanded the coin offerings to include both silver Litecoins and Bitcoins. The Lealana Physicals Litecoins came in four denominations – 1 LTC (or Litecoin) 5 LTC 10 LTC 25 LTC. The 1 LTC denomination, like this one, is made of Nickel Plated Brass and had the highest mintage of them all – peaking out at 10,000 coins. The 5, 10, and 25 LTC denominations are made with between ¼ to 1 Troy ounce of .999 silver and had significantly less minted, with 2,000 minted for 5 and 10 and only 500 for the 25 LTC denomination. This 1 LTC coin was the first ever to be released by Lealana, and it is the most common. Lealana Litecoins are categorized into 3 distinct sub-types: Black (serialized and non-serialized), Green, and Buyer-funded Black (of which only 40 of the 10000 were minted). The color refers to the first-bits that are shown on the hologram-side of the coin. Of these coins, the “first run” type (which was the Non-serialized Black) had 2,000 minted. As you can see, these coins have a cleaner appearance on the front. Other sub-types, like the serialized black (seen here), and the serialized Green (seen here), are known as “pitted” coins because there is a clear circular dent on the front caused by the manufacturing process of creating the pit under the hologram.
