Bitcoin( started in 2007) is mined using your computer the higher your cpu and gpu the more chance of bitcoins you can mine. Using a similar method as torrenting (Utorrent etc) you create hashes and many blocks to create a Bitcoin.Its how to share parts of files as we torrent music and videos.We then gain a full part (a complete file for playing)
Some Poker rooms have introduced Bitcoin within the last year.
Bitcoin on a single computer are now very difficult to create. now people using Bitcoin mining where groups of people get together,these are called bitcoin pools.
From my personal view: I would like to see virtual currency created by the people instead of the banks.
IMO : The fact that Bitcoin has no central bank I think its got potential.Bitcoin mining will end in 2040 and no more Bitcoin will be able to be created.
