The goal of this program is to ensure that undiagnosed vision problems do not limit children's academic potential. By focusing on children in Head Start programs, we are getting them help before they enter school.
Children need their first comprehensive eye exam at age six months, then again at three and five years old, and annually while they are in school.
Started in 2015, Vision for the Future wants to change the culture of vision care for children by also educating parents, teachers, and other professionals who work with children, the true importance and impact vision care can have on the life of a child.
