For admission to the Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) program you must complete:
At least 90 college credit hours of coursework from the list of required courses
All courses within 10 years of the time you start the Doctor of Optometry program.
Required courses
By the time you enter the IU School of Optometry you must have completed the following courses at an accredited institution with a grade of "C" or higher. None of the courses may be taken on a pass/fail basis.
All course requirements are considered minimums. No more than 60 credit hours may be taken at a junior college. Up to 10 credits of AP/CLEP coursework is accepted. All science courses must be taken in-person and only three other courses may be taken online.
