Vision Therapy

What is vision therapy?

Vision therapy is a personalized, doctor-supervised program designed to improve visual skills and processing. Unlike glasses or contact lenses, which correct eyesight, Vision therapy addresses how the eyes and brain work together to enhance visual function.

Vision therapy uses a series of customized activities to enhance eye coordination, focusing ability, and visual processing. It is often recommended for patients with:

  • Eye teaming or tracking difficulties
  • Convergence insufficiency
  • Amblyopia (lazy eye)
  • Strabismus (eye turn)
  • Visual processing challenges impacting reading or learning

Who can benefit from vision therapy?

Children and adults experiencing symptoms such as:

  • Frequent headaches or eye strain
  • Difficulty reading or performing school/work related tasks
  • Eye fatigue
  • Double vision or blurred vision
  • Post-concussion vision related issues
  • Poor sports performance related to visual skills
