Samantha Polster

Clinical Assistant Professor

Biography

Dr. Samantha Polster has been a valued member of the IU clinical faculty in the Department of Ophthalmology since 2016 and now joins IUSO in the Primary Care Service in Indianapolis. A graduate of the Illinois College of Optometry and former ocular disease resident at IUSO, Dr. Polster has extensive experience in patient care, clinical research, and optometric education. She has practiced at the Glick Eye Institute, Methodist Outpatient Clinic, and SpringMill Medical Building.

 Dr. Polster is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and has presented both locally and nationally on topics such as OCT interpretation, glaucoma, and neuro-ophthalmic disease. She has served as a co-investigator on multiple clinical trials and is deeply involved in mentoring students and residents. Her dedication to patient care, research, and teaching continues to enrich the IUSO community.
